Sunday 5th April
Hi guys
What a busy show today!
My special guest on the phone this morning was Ricky Tomlinson! He’s playing a show at the Pavilion Theatre on Saturday night. Ricky said he’s never played in Glasgow before so he can’t wait for the show. And we gave a pair of tickets for Ricky’s show to John Holland of East Kilbride.
Jacqueline Scanlon from Renfrew and John Grokes from Rothesay were both on the phone to tell me they both backed “Mon Mone” to win the Grand National yesterday, after I asked if anyone was a winner. Lucky people!
Other lucky people were Julie Smith from Johnstone who’s going to see Ultravox on Saturday night. She took a wee break from painting and decorating the house to phone the show.
Colin McKenzie won the Ultravox Best of collection. He was driving down to Blackpool with his son, daughter and 2 nieces. His wife has abandoned him this weekend to go to New York! No comparison really.
And George McKay from Barmulloch was also a winner – getting a copy of Now 71 on CD.
I’m back for Easter Weekend on Clyde 2. Saturday at 9am and Sunday at 10am.

Sunday 22nd March - Mothers Day
Hi boys and girls
What a busy morning for Mothers Day. The phone lines were red hot all morning! From all the dedications, we sent the Mum Rocks CD to 12 year old Victoria Sitek from the Gorbals. Her mum Anthea doesn’t keep too well but still spends all her time looking after her. They were heading out to her Nana Toni’s house after the show.
Lots of youngsters on the show today to wish their mum a Happy Mothers Day. Jamie Wright from Maryhill came on to say hi to his mum Yvonne and won the Ronan Keating CD for her on the Mums the Word competition.
And Maureen Orr from Kilmarnock won a pair of tickets to see Joe Longthorne at the Concert Hall next month.
I’m away for a lie down now!
See you next weekend.
