Three people have been arrested and more than £50,000 of counterfeit banknotes seized in a series of police raids.
Officers searched two properties in Glasgow, in Queens Crescent and Mavisbank Gardens, and an address in Ardfin Road, Prestwick, Ayrshire, yesterday and today after gathering intelligence.
Police said they discovered £53,000 in fake £20 notes and two men, aged 35 and 39, and a 43-year-old woman were arrested.
They are due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court tomorrow.
Officers advised people to be aware of counterfeit notes and urged anyone with suspicions to check them under a light for a water mark and to contact police.
